Install a new distribution point
- [Instructor] Let's add a distribution point server. Configuration manager distribution points host the content files that you deploy to devices and users. We can create also a distribution point group. And that helps us simplify how we manage distribution points and how we distribute content to those points. Prior to adding a distribution point server, we're gonna want to install IIS on the server where we're going to be adding the distribution point role. We've switched over to our app server one, which is where we're going to create our distribution point. Let's go ahead and add the IIS rule. So we'll go into server manager and we'll get to our server roles. And from here, we're going to choose Web Werver IIS. Add features, next. And we'll continue choosing next, until we get to install. Our installation is complete. We'll click close and we'll just confirm that IIS is functioning properly. And now we'll go to Tools and Server Manager, and from here go to Internet Information…
