At the end of this video, the student will learn how to create certificates from templates. This is the next step after establishing a certificate authority and helps to complete the PKI setup.
- [Instructor] We're going to create certificates…from templates that will be distributed to our…System Center Configuration Manager clients later on.…We're in our domain controller, so let's go…to Active Directory Users and Computers from our Tools menu.…From here, we'll go ahead and choose the users container,…right-click and choose New, and we'll choose Group.…And we'll call this SCCM Certs.…Go ahead and leave the default scope…and group type and click OK.…
Now we'll double-click and we'll choose Members.…Let's go ahead and click Add.…And we're going to change our object types to Add Computers…into the list, click OK.…And here we'll put in SCCM, check the name.…And then we'll put in App, and we'll click OK.…We see both of our servers for…System Center Configuration Manager, and our APPSERVER1,…which is our distribution point in the list.…
Click Apply, and click OK.…Now it's important that we restart both our…System Center Configuration Manager server and our…APPSERVER1 before we continue.…Once those servers are rebooted, we can continue.…
