Learn how to enable the App-V client on a Windows 10 Enterprise operating system. This comes by default with the enterprise version and is needed to deploy the application to the client.
- [Instructor] We're in our Windows 10 client,…and as you can see here, it's Windows 10 Enterprise.…And starting with version 1607, the App-V client…is already installed in our Windows 10 Enterprise version.…So let's go ahead and take a look and see…what version we're on by simply typing winver,…and choosing that run command.…And you can see we're on 1703, so we are good to go.…Let's go ahead and click OK.…Now if you have another version of Windows…and an older version of the App-V client…then you can certainly go to TechNet.com…and look for which operating systems will work with…App-V, and which versions of App-V will work with…that operating system.…
There's two ways to enable the App-V client.…One is to do it through group policy…and the other is to do it through PowerShell.…I'm going to go ahead and show you the way through PowerShell…simply by going to the Windows PowerShell admin…and clicking Yes, and we're going to just type…one command, it's going to be enable-appv.…And now we're enabled.…We do need to restart, so I'll go ahead and do that…
