Working with reverb

- [Instructor] Reverb is an effect that adds an artificial sense of space to sound. In general, all sounds we hear, unless we're in a sensory deprivation tank, have reverb. When you're having a conversation with someone, your ears will usually hear the other person's voice as well as the sound of their voice reflecting or bouncing off other surfaces in the room. With a reverb effect, we can place sounds in a gigantic artificial cavern or in a small room. Different kinds of reverb effects have different specialties and the one in Sylenth is more of a digital reverb effect rather than a convolution reverb, which uses special impulse response sounds to really capture the sound of a physical space. Let's check out our reverb. So, I have this sound from the factory sound bank that I've modified here just to turn off the reverb, and let's here it without the reverb.
