- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at our Phaser in Sylenth. The phaser essentially works by creating what you can think of as multiple bandpass filters within the frequency spectrum. You can control the center frequency of each with this single knob. So, I'm gonna enable the phaser by clicking on it and we have an initialized patch so its just a saw wave here. So as I play a note, (synthesizer plays) I can adjust the center frequency and the Spread dial is gonna allow me to control the distance between filter notches. So, let's check that out. (synthesizer plays) So, a lower spread is gonna give you a more noticeable change as we alter the center frequency. With a higher spread it might not be as noticeable. (synthesizer plays) So I'm gonna bring that back a little lower here. (synthesizer plays) So, LR Offset will create an offset for the center frequency between the left and right channels to create stereo width. Now, width won't work if this is set to zero.
