Working with chorus and flanger

- A chorus effect typically works by playing a duplicate version of the original signal with a delay. Let's enable the chorus effect and see how it works. I'm going to turn the depth down, for now. And I am also going to disable dual mode, which is it's default state. Now, let's turn up delay time. (delayed chorus) So you can see that our delay goes to about 40 milliseconds. So, when we are talking about chorus, we are usually dealing with shorter delays, but what actually creates the chorus effect is modulating the delayed signal. Essentially our depth control is an LFO that does just that. So, I am now going to play this note and bring this up. (note playing with adjustment) and now we can hear that chorus start to kick in, which is essentially going to control the stereo width (note continues) all the way down as mono and rate, you guessed it, is the rate of our modulation here.
