Working with EQ
- [Instructor] The EQ will allow you to further sculpt your sound. You'll notice that we hear a change as soon as we enable the EQ in Sylenth. (deep tone flicking) This is because in its default state both the base and treble controls are already boosted by about 7.5 dB. Each of these controls are simply high and low shelfs. You can't be surgically precise with this EQ, but you can generally boost around certain specified frequencies. So, let's check that out. So, I'm gonna up our bass to about 12.5 dB, around there. (deep tone wavering) And... (deep tone wavering) This sound isn't very high in pitch so that's why you might not notice as much here. But one of the things we can do if we want a slightly less subtle EQ is adjust the setting to 2-Pole here. (quiet to deep tone wavering) So, that's our EQ. Pretty simple. Okay, next we're gonna check out our Delay.
