Share your iOS code with others using CocoaPods. Learn how to package and deploy a public pod with Swift.
- [Instructor] Whether it's arts and crafts or construction, we all have our own methods and unique approaches to getting a project done. And, more than likely, a custom set of tools to get the job done well. As a software developer in today's technical landscape, it's really no different. Constructing your own tool sets is vital to code re-usability, and getting projects off the ground quickly, as well as cementing your own personal knowledge. Hi, I'm Harrison Ferrone. I've been an iOS developer for several years in the US and abroad.
In this course, I'm going to take you through the process of creating and publishing a custom pod to the CocoaPods library. We'll start with creating a simple GitHub repo, and a local pod library project, then move on to filling out the pod specifications and the actual code. We'll finish off by actually publishing our pod and pulling it down from CocoaPods live, to use it in a test project. By the end of this course, you'll have the skills to take your pod ideas from inception, all the way to sharing them with the community.
Let's get to work.
