- [Instructor] In this intro video for the chapter, we are going to take a look at how we might, first of all, go about preparing a mesh asset or assets for use inside the Substance Painter application. And also, at how we could go about creating a new document or project into which we can bring our meshes for texturing. Now, I know that this does sound like very simple, base level stuff, but honestly, getting these steps done properly right at the start of a project, can save us a lot of trouble in the long run. And so, first of all, let's take a look at our mesh asset and see just how it was constructed, or set up, inside my modeling application of choice, which is Blender. Don't worry, though, this is not application-specific, so what I'm about to talk about applies to whichever DCC application you choose.
