What is the Library?
- [Instructor] The next important area of the Substance Designer UI that we're going to look at is the Library panel, located by default just below the explorer panel that we looked at in the previous exercise. Now, typically, as we become more and more familiar with working in Substance Designer, we will probably find ourselves using the Library section less and less as there are faster and easier ways of accessing the tools found there. Spending some time looking at this area, however, is an easy way for us to familiarize ourselves with some of the tools Substance Designer makes available. To start with then you will notice that this section of the UI is in fact split in two. We have our categories on the left which once clicked, then give us access to the nodes and tools in that category. For example, if we click on the pattern section, we gain access to the nodes that can be used to add patterns to a substance. Now, I would definitely recommend spending some time looking through…
