- [Instructor] The next menu item that we will look at…is connected to viewport feedback,…so taking control over what we see in the 3D view.…As with most other options,…the environment menu give us the ability…to get things back to the default settings,…by means of a reset button, should we need it.…But, we also of course have the all-important edit option…that, once clicked, gives us access…to some simple and yet very useful controls.…For instance, by default, Substance Designer…loads a HDRI into the background of our 3D view,…and then uses that for both lighting…and reflections in the scene.…
Because this can, in most cases, be distracting…whilst creating textures,…let's our display component rollout…make sure that the Is Visible control is set to False,…which it should be by default.…For placement of specific details in a material, though,…we may prefer to be able to see the environment…that is being used, and so, a simple mouse click…is all that is needed in order to show the HDRI…currently being used.…If we then come to the library tab,…
