Using multiple selections to edit large amounts of text
- [Narrator] If the last two examples of using multiple selection left you a little cold, I'm pretty sure this one is going to blow your mind. I'm going to go down to the portion of this webpage where it's mostly text. And I'm going to start by selecting the paragraph tag that starts each of the five paragraphs in this section of the page. I selected the first one manually. And then I'm using command d or control d on Windows to add the remaining paragraph tags as matches. Then I'm going to hit right arrow to move my cursors into the text of each paragraph. Now I'm going to use the expand selection to tag command that we saw previously. That's shift command a or control shift a on windows to select the text inside each of our paragraphs. I now have five sections, each one of which contains the text of one paragraph. Now the reason I'm going all this is I might want to be able to edit the content of these paragraphs without having to worry about all of the code that surrounds them. And…
