Join David Rivers for an in-depth discussion in this video What you should know before watching this course, part of Articulate: Visual Design Basics.
- [Instructor] Well, here's what you need to know before we get started with this course. I'll be working with Articulate Storyline 2, so you'll need to have this e-learning software installed to follow along exactly with me in this course. And if you don't have it, Articulate offers a free trial at articulate.com. That being said, you will be able to apply the principles we cover in this course using other e-learning software, it's just that some of the steps to complete a task might be a little different in other software applications.
While we will be covering the basics of visual design using Storyline 2, and you need not have any experience with visual design, some experience with e-learning software like Storyline 2 will make things flow easier for you as we move through the chapters and movies in this course. If you're brand new to e-learning software, you might first consider checking out my Articulate Storyline 2 First Look course here at lynda.com. It'll quickly give you all you need to feel totally comfortable in this course using Storyline 2 to apply visual design principles to your e-learning courses.
That's about all you'll need to know to breeze through this course with me. We have lots to cover, so if you're ready, let's dig into this course on visual design basics with Articulate Storyline 2.
