Learn how to design effective slides that enhance the learning experience of your audience with Articulate Storyline 2.
- [David] Hi and welcome to this course on Visual Design Basics using Articulate Storyline 2. I'm David Rivers. Regardless of what software application you use to create your e-learning courses, making use of proper visual design principles plays an important part of getting your message across clearly. In this course, we'll be working with Articulate Storyline 2 as we explore the basics of visual design. We'll begin with an exploration of visual design principles, including a review of the Gestalt Theory, the proper use of color, contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity.
Then we'll devote an entire chapter to typography, covering topics on the proper use of fonts, maximizing readability, online typography etiquette, and how to keep text layout consistent. We'll dive deeper into proper use of color and media such as graphical images, infographics, and video, and we'll finish up with my top five mistakes to avoid, as well as my top five design habits you should use. So what do you need to know to follow along with me in this course? We'll cover that next.
