In this video, you will learn how to use good habit number two, which is to tone down the use of imagery by creating a silhouette effect by changing the brightness property of a character to -100.
- Sometime, using images can actually be distracting,…as opposed to making things interesting on your slides.…A cool way to keep images…but make them less distracting is to create silhouettes.…Let's go to Slide Three…of our Good Habits storyline project here.…Notice the graph. That's the important information.…We do have clip art images of characters down below,…cheering on the steady rise of the customer experience.…Well, that can distract from the data…and the trends that we want to see using this graph.…
So one option might be to keep them…and just make them silhouettes…so they don't stand out so much.…Let's go to the first one.…Just click, and you'll see Character Tools appear…up at the top on the ribbon.…We're going to go to the Format tab under Character Tools.…Next we're going to go to the Picture Styles group…and click the arrow in the bottom right-hand corner…to format the shape, and next we're going to go…to Picture, down the left-hand side.…And all we have to do to create a silhouette…out of a character is to take the Brightness all the way…
