- [Instructor] The menu within the player allows your learners to navigate your eLearning course and you can control how your learners interact with the menu by adjusting the navigation restrictions. From the menu tab in the player properties window, start by clicking on the gear icon here towards the bottom. This will open a new window where we can adjust the navigation restrictions from the menu dropdown. In Storyline, there are three different options for how our learners can navigate our player menu. Free navigation lets learners openly navigate the menu meaning they can select any menu item and jump around the course. Restricted navigation lets learners view the slide they're on and jump back to any slide they previously viewed, but they can't jump ahead and skip slides, and finally, locked navigation prevents learners from interacting with the menu at all meaning they can't jump backwards or forward.
