What you should know before watching this course

- Essential training for Storyboard Pro covers everything you need to know about how to work it quickly and efficiently in the Toon Boom Storyboard Pro software. You should be able to easily navigate in either a Windows or a Mac environment, know how to open and close files, and how to move folders on your hard drive. This course is perfect for those new to Storyboard Pro. As well as those who want to be more efficient in this software. We'll assume you understand the basics of storyboarding. And while we will offer you many tricks of the trade in this course, I'm gonna focus mainly on the use of the software. Not on the art or the business of storyboarding. I may use various terms to describe the same thing during the course. Storyboarding is often referred to as Boarding or Story art. The terms will be used interchangeably during the course. Storyboard artists are often referred to as Story Artists or Storyboarders or just Boarders. I'll mention different types of production, such as live action and animation. And live action refers to any production where a camera shoots live actors. Animation can be stop motion, hand drawn, or CG. Hand drawn refers to classic 2D animation like Bugs Bunny or The Simpsons. CG or computer generated is often referred to as 3D animation. While trying not to use the term 3D as that can also mean stereoscopic productions where you have to use these ridiculous glasses to see the depth in the screen. There's no reason to confuse anyone here. Now the chapters in this course are organized to make it fast and easy to find the details you need to get you working quickly.
