- [Mark] Hi, I'm Mark Simon, and I'm a storyboard artist, and I use Storyboard Pro every day on projects ranging from commercials and movies to series like "The Walking Dead." In this course, we're going to cover using 3D elements and how to simulate 3D within Storyboard Pro, and I found while storyboarding there are a few times when it's beneficial to make use of 3D. Drawing complex objects like cars and spaceships from various angles can be hard and time-consuming, so I bring in 3D versions to use or even to trace over. And, you can use 3D models of sets or locations to create the perfect examples of the camera we'll see for true pre-visualization. And sometimes you need to storyboard a complex camera move, and the best way to do it could be using 3D. So regardless of your reason for implementing 3D into your storyboards, this course will teach you how to work with 3D models in Storyboard Pro, how to manipulate those models in both 2D and 3D scenes, how to use 3D tools in the software, how to align 2D drawings in a 3D space, position and animate your 3D camera, and we'll cover some common problems you may run into. Storyboard Pro makes implementing 3D into your storyboards easy, so let's get started.
