Create 2D art on a 3D surface

- [Instructor] You have a 3D object in your scene, like this car, or maybe you have a 3D set. And you want to draw a character in the proper point in space. Well Storyboard Pro has a tool to make that easy. First thing you want to do is come over here to our tools list on the left, and you'll find this one down here called Create Layer on a Surface. In your tool properties, over on the right, you have an option of having it create for you a bitmap layer, or a vector layer. I'm going to keep it on vector layer. And you're going to see a red cross in the middle of your drawing area. Now when your drawing pen is not over anything that's a 3D object, it's not going to do anything. But as soon as it crosses over a 3D object, like this car here, the plus sign is tracking. So I can place my layer, in depth, anywhere where I click.
