If you're a lynda.com Premium Member, then you have access to the exercise files that accompany this course. I suggest you put those exercise files in some place easily accessible as you go through this course. I have my exercise files here right on the Desktop. They're not that many, just these four files here, three script files, and this one video clip. If, as you're working on these inside Story, you change them by some chance--which is not likely since when you're working in Story you're working in the Cloud--but if you do happen to Save back to your desktop, then you might change these.
If you do, then you can just swap them all with the originals. And as you work on these inside Story, and you compare the way this file looks on your computer with how it looks inside our videos, you might notice some subtle differences from one to the next. That's just because things change, and how you work on the project inside Story might cause the clips to look a little bit different. But we're going to start from square one together, so it should look the same as we get started. It just might look a little bit different as we move forward through the course. In any event, keep your files in an accessible place just to make things easy as we move forward.
If you're not a Premium Member, you can certainly work on your own files and write your own scripts as we go through the course, and then you'll be able to do the same basic functionality that folks with the files do as they move through the course. So let's get started with Up and Running with Story.
