An overview of the interface

- [Narrator] In this session, we're going to open Stata for the first time and explore Stata's graphical user interface. But, let's go ahead and open Stata. Welcome to Stata. In this session, we're going to explore Stata graphical user interface. In other words, all the things that we see in front of us. The first time we open Stata, we'll probably see something like this. This is Stata primary program window and subdivided into five different parts. Here, on the left hand side, we have the Review window. And this shows us all our previous commands. Generally, the interaction with this window is low but you can double-click on previous commands to repeat them. Here in the middle, we have the Results window. And this window displays all our output. This window is very important as it presents our statistical output. But like the Review window, our physical interaction with it will generally be limited.
