Sizing graphs

- Let's look at how we can change the relative size of Stata graphs, to better suit our visual needs. For example, you may not always want to create a graph, with Stata's default aspect ratio. Changing the aspect ratio of graphs is relatively easy in Stata. And, allows you to create long and thin, or short and wide graphs. Here's an example of a short and wide-type graph, created in Stata. You may find yourself in a scenario, where you have much more horizontal space than vertical space, and creating such a graph, might be just the perfect fit for that kind of space. To change the aspect ratio of Stata graphs, we're going to introduce four options, which are applicable to all Stata graphs. We'll introduce the aspectratio() option, which allows you to change the aspect ratio of Stata's plot region.
