Presenting OLS regression estimates - Stata Tutorial
From the course: Introduction to Stata 15
Presenting OLS regression estimates
- [Narrator] In this session we're going to explore how we can efficiently present multiple regression outputs. We're going to examine how we can store estimations within Stata and then export these to other programs such as Excel or Word. We'll explore how to do this manually and automatically. The command that we'll use is the estimates command. In particular, the estimates store and the estimates table sub-commands. Estimates stores stores estimates, while estimates table will generate a table of stored estimates. Unfortunately, Stata's inbuilt output functions aren't as good as they can be. So that's why we'll also introduce two user-written commands, which are particularly useful. You'll need to install both of them. Ensure that you obtain the relevant permissions. We'll use esttab, which creates nicer looking tables than estimates table, and we'll use outreg2, which allows you to write your estimates straight into an excel file. You'll need to install and write both of them too.…
