How to use margins and marginsplot
- [Instructor] Let's explore the commands margin and marginsplot. Simple linear models are often easy to interpret and visualize. However, for more complicated specifications that might include interaction effects or for nonlinear models, such as logit models understanding the regression output, can be challenging. The good news is that Stata has developed a powerful set of commands that can help us interpret such difficult output. Even better, these commands can be applied to almost any regression that comes in build with Stata. Having a basic understanding of the margins and marginsplot command is an important step to successfully mastering complicated regression models. Here is a simple example.
