The user interface

(buzzing) - [Instructor] Modular V ships with a large number of presets. By clicking on this icon up here I get access to a search engine, they're also divided into user banks for factory templates, different types of patches. I could choose them by subjective characteristics. They even have a playlist I can toggle through. You can click on the list to the right to also get a nice menu that the patches have been sorted into by their type. In this course I'm going to be relying on their template patches quite a bit, to give you good starting points. Whenever you have edited a template patch by the way, if you re-choose the exact same template it will not lose your settings, but if you choose a different template, it will lose your settings and go back to the original settings. So quite often, in between the movies in this course I've been going back to blank synth, then choosing the particular patch I want to use, such as say, two oscillators poly.
