Trigger delay
(robotic synth music) - [Voiceover] In the next two movies, we're going to play around with delays. In this movie, we're going to play around with trigger delays, where we slow down the timing between when we play a note and when something such as an envelope is triggered. And then in the next movie we'll play with audio delays, basically echos. Let's go ahead and set up another template patch, in this case, 2 Oscillators Mono. (synth playing from keys) Nice brassy sound. Maybe if we put it up to fifths speed, it'll be even more impressive. (synth chords) Now say that we want that to have a slow, swelling attack, more of a brass swell. Well, I'll just take my envelope generator, plug it into a modulation input on the filter, lower the cut-off, increase modulation depth, and put a really long attack on it. (holds long note out) Longer to K2. Now the problem with this attack is it does start building as soon as I play a note. (long synth note) It might be even more impressive if we had…
