- Congratulations. You now know a lot about how to use a Modular Synthesizer and to patch together those modules to create your own sounds particularly using Arturia's Modular V software which is a lovely recreation of the classic Moog Modular Synth of the '60's and '70's. Of course you can go a lot further. There's far more complex sounds you can patch and there are a few functions we just didn't have time to get to so my suggestion at this point is go ahead an open up the Modular V manual, go particularly to the end which has a lot of great tutorials, and learn more about the hidden functions and the power inside Modular V. A great way of learning actually is to open up the presets. Open up a sound that you like and explore how it's patched. You now know what the modules do and how they're interconnected, if you study how an individual patch works you can discover secrets about how different synthesis create those particular sounds and once you know how other people create sounds…
