- We're gonna continue on with the boom-chuck approach on the other really important basic chord shapes that we're gonna use here. So here's E, the boom-chuck thing in E. (strums guitar) And again, all these notes need to ring. And A, I'll show you quickly through these things. (strums guitar) There's the rest stroke. (strums guitar) And F. (strums guitar) Just go back and forth as you mess around with this. It's not about trying to force this issue. (strums guitar) You wanna let your hands just sort of, find their way with these sort of things here. (strums guitar) And you may notice that the rest stroke may feel a little harder to do. (strums guitar) With the rest stroke, once you apply it as a rest stroke by itself, it's a little easier to manage when you're actually applying it into a bigger picture, like a strum pattern.
