- Okay, let's look at some of these concepts in action. I'm going to show you with one of my own compositions called Brooklyn Kind of Love how minor 7th chords, dominant chords, extended chords, added note chords, and a diminished 7th chord can work in a song. I'm going to play the song through the last chorus up until the end, and then I'm going to go back through it, and show you where all these chords fit into the song. You ready?
