Skip pattern

Skip pattern

- Irv Cottler uses that little skip pattern and it's a really useful thing to learn and apply it to any kind of jazz songs that you might play. And he incorporates this little skip snare thing a few more times into the beat. So let's play it with those incorporated. One, two, one, two, three. (drumming) So that might be a lot of snare skips to try to attempt to do all at once so let's just break it down and we'll add them in one at a time until we get comfortable. Here we go. One, two, one, two, three, four. (drumming) So once we've practiced that and we have that down, let's add one more in. One, two, one, two, three, four. (drumming) And once you've practiced that and you have that down, we'll add in one more. One, two, one, two, three, four. (drumming)
