- Continuing our discussion about picking arm technique, we're gonna now move to one of the most essential parts of the picking arm, obviously, the pick grip and how the pick actually engages with the string. So far we've covered allowing the elbow to move and allowing the elbow to hinge and not hugging the guitar and creating a sense that the whole arm is contacted to the guitar.
