Organizing your drums
From the course: Drum Set Lessons: On the Beaten Path
Organizing your drums
- So you got a drum set, fantastic. All right, the first thing you're going to want to do is separate your drum set into three piles. Put your drums in one pile, put your hardware in a second pile, and put all your cymbals in a third pile. Then before we set up the drums, you're going to want to get a drum rug. Any kind of drum rug that's 5 x 8 foot is about the right size for a drum set. It's going to do two things. First it's going to keep some of the grease from the pedals and stuff from getting on the nice floors, and second, it's going to keep your drums from sliding all over the place.
