- Alright we're here. We're playing our first John Bonham beat. This is very important. John Bonham is one of the greatest rock drummers of all time and in one of the greatest rock bands of all time Led Zeplin. This song is called Cashmere. John Bonham plays a beat on this song that has the bass drum going on beats one and three but also on the E of beats one and three and what that does is creates a very driving type of feel. It's what we call driving. A driving beat makes you feel like the music's propelling forward, it's driving ahead, it's got some urgency to it. The one E on the bass drum helps create that driving sort of feel. This is how Cashmere sounds when it's played. One, two, one, two, three, four.
