Fretting hand fundamentals 1: Fretting hand technique
- We discussed how a proper support system for the fretting hand is necessary for maintaining the best tone possible as we play, as we engage in the fret board of the guitar. Looked at a relaxed shoulder, how that creates more of a better angle and relaxed elbow which allows us to come from underneath. And so we're gonna get a little more specific now here with the fretting hand, how the fretting arm supports the fretting hand, that's the key thing here. And another thing to remind you guys as we continue this discussion is what works and looks right for me may not be exactly what looks and feels most natural to you. We negotiate these things in the video exchanges. We try to allow for all the variables, different size guitars, different size arms, different size hands, my hands are kinda small. But what we notice here is through this consistent support system, there is some consistent components for allowing for the most consistent tone. We're always looking for consistency here…
