Fills from "You Shook Me" and "Bad to the Bone"

- Great job on playing all those Blues beats. Now let's move on and play some of the fills that were played in these actual songs by the drummers that played the beats. So let's get started, and learn some Blues and Shuffle drum fills. John Bonham kicks in the mighty Led Zeppelin band with this fill on the snare drum, floor tom, and bass drum. Real simple, it goes like this. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. So we're going to take that fill and we're going to put it into context of the beat, and we're just going to play a two bar phrase and repeat that fill and that phrase just so you get used to playing the fill along with the beat. So let's do that. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine! The fill that Jeff Simon plays as the intro to cue the band in on Bad to the Bone is super cool, and it sounds like this. One, two, one, two, three, four. So you'll notice that that drum fill started off with the flam and then some bass drum hits and then brought in the floor tom and snare drum. Now, we're going to do that fill, and we're going to go straight into the song, so it's going to be a little bit like the last fill, where we play the drum fill and then we play a couple of measures of what the drum beat sounds like, and we'll end the drum beat with the fill and just kind of loop that pattern over and over again so you get used to it. And let's get started. One, two, one, two, three.
