12-bar blues and turnaround fills

- Now it's important to know where to place a turnaround fill in a 12-bar blues, and a 12-bar blues which is what Sweet Home Chicago's based on, is a very specific type of sound and you'll start to feel what a 12-bar phrase feels like and that the end of that 12-bar phrase, you're going to insert that turnaround fill, so let's just play this tune that sounds a little bit like Sweet Home Chicago and we're going to do a 4-bar intro, and then we're going to do three 12-bar phrases and I'm going to put a turnaround fill in between those 12-bar phrases so here we go. One two, one two, three four. (blues music) Steve Jordan plays this turnaround fill in Sweet Home Chicago and it sounds like this. (drums) one, two, one two three four.
