Creating section views
Have you ever wanted to cut something in half and see what's going on inside? Now you can. Section views gives us the ability to slice a model or assembly in half in any direction, or location, and see what's happening in that section. This is a great tool that really helps you determine the inner workings of a design. Let's take a look. Section view is available right here on the top. Click on section. And notice it automatically slices the model right off the bat using the X Y plane. I can switch between planes, by clicking on any of these radio buttons and it switches the view. I can spin it around using my middle mouse button by holding it down and I can see what's going on directly inside that model. If I hold that plane, left mouse clicking on that plane, I can drag that plane, forward and back, through the model, and I can see exactly what's going on at any stage in the game, as I slide that plane through the model to get a nice view of what's going on.
