- [Instructor] Cellular is another popular connectivity option that provides a wide area coverage for an IoT network. There are a few cellular technologies for IoT. GSM and LTE are typical examples of making your IoT devices connected through regular cellular networks. LTM and MBIoT provide low-power wide area cellular options where their support from carriers has been growing at a global scale. Because of its wide network coverage, we can use this connectivity option for many applications, including smart home and smart city, such as smart environment, smart street lights, smart parking, and smart buildings, et cetera. Taking the smart street lights as an example, we can have an IoT device with cellular module as a controller to control the city-wide street lights.
