(bright pop music) - Sundar Pichai gave a speech about artificial intelligence and how they want to integrate that into these devices that they're building up. And that is, was really a very good speech because that actually told you what wonders can artificial intelligence do for you in your devices and your gadgets that you use in your daily lives. So, that is one thing that really is right now of interest to me. I really want to know more about it. - Machine learning is an amazing technology. Once we get through the hype cycle, I think we're going to see applications in research, applications in the medical field, that are going to be absolutely phenomenal. I think, what an amazing thing. Think about this, what an amazing thing if we could reduce the time it takes to predict the outcome of a medical issue. Based upon being able to gather up all this data, look at it, and then have a computer basically say, I think, with a certain degree of certainty, that this is the trajectory for that. That's an amazing thing. You can translate that into the engineering world. You can translate that into aeronautics, into space exploration, underwater exploration. I think, that's going to be an amazing thing, once we get there. Not there yet, but we're getting there. - I happen to be at a point in my life where I can start getting very cynical. And there's several things like, voice recognition, that I'm looking at it from multiple perspectives, including the user perspective, and I'm wondering if it's really going to be useful. I've seen other things like that, 3D printers, still haven't actually, after all the hype, done what they said they were going to do. I'm still not 100% behind voice recognition. I still think that, cars, are an ultimate symbol of freedom, so having a computer drive your car is not going to work. So, I have a lot of cynicism. - Being a developer here, you're constantly learning and so, there's always so many things that I want to learn. I think virtual reality and augmented reality are really just, I want to build worlds. (laughs) I wanna see how that works. - I think there's a lot of cool stuff that's happening in tech right now, and it's really the merger of few things together. So, if you look at IoT and then you look at block chain, and then you look at artificial intelligence, and data science, all of them, with this cloud backing, this whole combination of these four technologies is the future of it. The world just can't deny that future. Everything will be on it. Everything will be the way it is. - I think augmented reality is real exciting, again, getting that, kinda the math, that can be really hard and challenging, but interesting to then translate into something visual and fun and exciting, that gets people excited about technology, it can even inspire, you know, the next wave of developers. And it's just fun. I mean, I think that, a lot of this, the passion that goes along with it, you know, needs to be fun on some level. I can't tell you how many times I'll explain to my wife or somebody, what a great day I had because I wore headphones so much of the day. I was just having a good time, and if it translates into something fun to watch, to look at, to share with others that excites them, even though they may not be into the code you wrote to get it done, then I think that that's just, makes it great all around for other people. Something you can share with others and get them excited. And if something impresses my kids, then even better. (bright pop music)
