Understanding the language of risk and compliance

- In unit two, we're gonna talk more about how to understand the language surrounding governance, risk, and compliance. And how to create a shared understanding between the two opposing and often conflicting departments or specialists of "I'm product development "and delivery." I work fast. I need to work in a creative manner. And risk and compliance where slow down, telling me what you're doing, and let's make sure you're doing it right. This is a cultural problem. William Schneider actually developed a cultural model and in it he actually says there's sort of two axes you can split organizations to determine the culture along two axes which creates four quadrants. So on the x axis, there's people and there's the company. Some organizations are geared more toward the people within the organization and the customers.
