Learn the five principles that are at the heart of high-performance program management.
- In this unit, I'm gonna present five principles…that are the heart of high-performance program management.…Number one, collaborate to set measurable outcomes…at the program level.…Number two, teams work to test and design hypotheses.…Number three, create fast feedback loops.…Number four, work in small batches.…And number five, create a culture of experimentation.…So number one, we're gonna start by talking about…creating outcomes at the program level,…and then having teams work and design hypotheses.…
A lot of organizations decide not only the why,…but also the how and the what up front.…I'm gonna argue that this is a mistake,…because at the beginning of a program…you have the least information…about what will actually achieve the outcomes you want.…A lot of organizations also take the what and the how…and ship that downstream, without putting sufficient focus…on the why, on the outcomes that we're trying to achieve.…We should flip this 'round.…At the beginning of the project,…we should focus on the measurable outcomes…
