- So now the final thing that's left is adding the stop pushbutton. So we need to add the stop pushbutton that stops the process at any time. Remember that the stop pushbutton is normally closed. Everything else is normally open, except for the stop pushbutton, it's normally closed. So adding the stop pushbutton in the latter logic, we are going to use XIC. And to make sure that the process stops at any time, we are going to add the stop pushbutton in every single run. So this is how the program looks like after adding the stop pushbutton. Let's use the simulation software in order to see how the program works after adding the stop pushbutton. So in the simulation software, I added the stop pushbutton every single run using XIC instruction. I notice here, in the IO simulation, I chose a normally closed, because it's a normal closed relay.
