- [Narrator] Xcode welcome page is divided into two sections. On the left side are quick links to the swift playground, which is not covered in this series, create a new project for a variety of Apple platforms, and open an existing project. The right side is a list of recently opened projects. Since we just launched Xcode, it is empty now. Let's take a tour of Xcode's menus. In the Xcode menu you can learn more about Xcode, you can see and modify the preferences and quit the application. In the File menu you can create new files, projects, targets and workshops. You can open a file from the file system or one that you recently used. You can also close a window, a tab, a file, or a whole project. The Edit menu allows you to work with your program's text. You can undo, redo, cut, paste, and delete text. You can also filter, sort, and format things. View is your go-to spot to customize or correct Xcode layouts.
