IoT product cloud
- [Narrator] The Product Cloud can be thought of as a high-powered computing extension of the IoT product. The private cloud expands the products computing, memory, and storage capabilities. It is different than the IT cloud in both technology and business. Technically the IoT Product Cloud must support different application protocols, different analytics packages, and different development environments. It must also support the APIs of different data services that may not be used in IT networks. More profoundly, the business model of the IT Cloud must change. In IT, there are fewer users that are using a lot of bandwidth. In IoT, there are many users using less bandwidth. Applying the IT business model to the IoT architecture doesn't work. Consider the computing power that can be harnessed for any product. If needed, the IoT dryer for example could use an entire data center of servers to provide amazing functionality.
