- [Instructor] IoT network security generally means safeguarding connected objects, data, and network resources in IoT network system. In this video, we're going to talk about IoT network security which allows us to understand the security basics in wireless networks for IoT. In open IP-based infrastructure that most current IoT systems (mumbles), the attack surface has been expanded from the traditional closed network system, such as field sensor networks or industrial control monitor networks that have very limited connectivity to the external network. The dimension of IoT security is broad, from the consumer IoT applications, such as home automation systems, to industrial applications, such as process automation systems. Let's first look at general security goals for information security systems. They are called CIA goals, meaning confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
