- Smart devices and connected objects have increasingly emerged surround our living spaces and beyond. The personal assistance smart thermometers, smart lights, smart appliances, gadgets, and other objects have transformed our lives and many things into a new level. An operating system can synergistically provide a capability for those devices to handle complex tasks as well as a framework and an ecosystem for us to focus on the creation of such smart devices with the software applications in many industry verticals.
This course talks about the applications from the OS-based perspective. I'll walk you through all the essential building blocks and I'll also show you how things are done in different examples. I'm Ryan Hu, and I'm an engineer, researcher, and professor in the field of IoT. I'm really excited to share all of this with you, so let's get started.
