- Let's talk about internationalizing media. As we've already discussed, internationalization is meant to provide your product with flexibility, and that flexibility includes media as well as text. Even if you're at a company with hundreds of employees, and a dedicated graphics department, you need to plan ahead so that you can effectively manage situations where media will need to be localized as well. Let's talk about a few situations where this might come up, and a few strategies that can help you prepare. Firstly, be prepared to un-localize your content. Your product might be full of cultural references that you aren't seeing, things that may exist where you live, but don't mean much outside of your country.
