Elastic build agents, part 1
- [Man] One of the great features of Bamboo is called Elastic Bamboo or Elastic Agents. That means you will have a template for your build agent, but not the actual build agent. And then you will only create instances of that template to be used as your build agents when you need the build agent. You can use this feature only if you use Amazon Web Services. The way you do this is that your template is actually a Amazon image, it's an AMI that you create based on a machine that is suitable for building code. And then you just obviously have your Amazon image in Amazon Web Services environment. Behind the scene, Amazon keeps them on Amazon S3, but you don't really need to deal with S3 in here. And the bamboo based on the length of your build queue will decide that whether you need more build agents. If you do, it will create new build agents based on that image or template.
