Device management overview

- [Instructor] Device management that provides remote device manageability to connected devices such as provisioning, configurations, and updates on firmware, status and diagnostic information. It provides added value to our IoT systems in general. From a users perspective, updating software of our mobile devices, and the smart gadgets from a trusted source, or configuring devices remotely, are typical examples of device management. Enabling device management capabilities requires the support from the IoT system infrastructure and the IoT device itself. Since we have talking about the system level setups, and the standards in the IoT foundation's device management course, while focused on the device level of support including the onboard OS based applications.
