- A common question I get is, now you have a Sony mirrorless camera, you're a professional photographer, you don't really use your phone, do you? You don't really edit with Snapseed? And that couldn't be further from the truth. Let me run you through a couple of examples as a professional photographer of what Snapseed does for me. The first is when I'm on location. I've got my camera in my bag, my tripod, all my heavy gear, and it's just gonna stay by the car, and I'm gonna walk around the scene with my phone, and as I'm taking pictures and looking at different compositions, I can get low, I can angle in different ways, I can do all sorts of things that are very freeing by using the phone, and not having a tripod with me. Then, as I'm reviewing the images, if something catches my eye, I immediately go into Snapseed and I edit, and once I edit, I can visualize is this what I'm looking for? Is this worth getting my camera and my tripod and shooting it with that equipment? And so, this is my workflow. This is how I do it in the field. So as a professional, before the camera comes out with the tripod, it starts with a phone and Snapseed, and that's not the only reason I would use it. Another is, let's say I'm on location or maybe I'm just on vacation with the family and I didn't bring my camera bag, but all of a sudden there's an incredible scene, I will take my phone and shoot the best image I can, and since I'm right there, I just jump into Snapseed and start editing, and it's such a powerful program that I can get a portfolio-worthy image doing that. In addition, you can also take raw images with your camera, and you can send it to your phone or your iPad and edit using Snapseed as well, so if you really, really love Snapseed, if at the end of this course, you're thinking, I want to edit all my images this way, you absolutely can.
